Chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has decided to dip its toes in the smartphone manufacturing industry with the launch of Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. The company has collaborated with Asus to produce the device for its Snapdragon Insider community, which was launched in March earlier this year.
Qualcomm Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders features
The device runs on the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset instead of the latest Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G mobile platform. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448×1080 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, and protected by Gorilla Glass. The peak brightness is 1,200nits.
The front camera is a 24MP shooter. The rear combination is a triple-lens setup – a 64MP primary Sony IMX686 image sensor, a 12MP ultrawide IMX363 lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilization and 3x optical zoom. 4K UHD video recording is supported at 60fps, and 8K UHD at 30fps.
The device runs Android 11. It comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and dual SIM slots. The 4,000mAh battery supports up to 65W quick charging.
The smartphone comes with four HDR microphones with a dynamic range of 114dB, and two speakers with Snapdragon Sound technology. The package comes with a pair of Master & Dynamic wireless earbuds in the box.

The Qualcomm Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders comes in blue colour. It is priced at $1,499 (₹1,12,000 approx.).
