As updated earlier, Xiaomi has announced the dated of MIUI 8 roll out across all the eligible devices. A stable version of MIUI 8 ROM was supposed to be released on 16th August initially, however, due to a delay of around a week and it was announced that the stable ROM will be released on 23nd August.
Xiaomi yesterday announced the MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM Release Dates and starting from August 23rd, MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM will be progressively released for public. It is interesting to note that even devices launched 4 years back are going to get updates at parity with brand devices that were just released a few weeks ago.
MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM Supported Devices
Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB.
Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G will get OTA update on August 23rd. Updates for rest of the supported devices will be released progressively in the near future.

How to Upgrade to MIUI 8
There are multiple options available to update your device to stable ROM. However, MIUI Global Stable ROM users will get OTA update notifications on their phones. You can alternatively click ‘Updater’ app to check for updates, in case you want to check the status of the update on your own.
