Huawei’s e-brand Honor has launched its latest smartphone in India, Honor 6X. It was recently announced at CES 2017 for $249 to $299 and is one of the highest anticipated launches of 2017, yet. Honor 6X is priced at Rs. 12,999 for 3GB 32 GB storage version and Rs. 15,999 for 4GB 64 GB storage version and will be available in three color options silver, grey, and gold. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon.in
The Honor 6X comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display covered by 2.5D curved glass and is powered by an in-house Huawei Kirin 655 octa-core SoC along with a Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It comes in two variants a 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage configuration and a 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage configuration. Honor 6X is powered by a 3,340 mAh battery and the EMUI 4.1 skin running on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with an assured Android 7.0 Nougat update in Q2 2017.
The highlight of Honor 6X is its dual camera setup. Unlike Huawei P9 or Honor 8, 6X does not have a secondary monochrome sensor. Instead, it comes with 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual configuration for the rear and an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
The dual camera setup on Honor 6X is a rather traditional one. The first sensor is a 12MP one, coupled with phase-detection capabilities, while the secondary 2MP cam serves only for acquiring depth info.
Honor claims the fingerprint scanner unlocks the phone in 0.3 seconds, and the 3340 mAH battery pack will last over two days.
