Asus has launched its latest smartwatch, the ZenWatch 3, in India. It is the same gorgeous smartwatch that was launched in IFA 2016 in August 2016. ZenWatch 3 will be available exclusively via Flipkart, preorders have already started.
The latest addition to the Android Wear from Asus is priced from Rs. 17,599, and go up to Rs. 18,999 and will be available in two strap variants, Leather and Rubber.
Asus has changed the design of all its devices a with the Zenfone 3 series and we saw the result with Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Max. The effort that has gone into designing these products clearly shows.
The ZenWatch 3 comes in three variants in India. The WI503Q-1LDBR0015 comes with a Gunmetal case with a dark brown leather strap, priced at Rs. 18,999. The WI503Q-2RBGE0007 houses a Silver case with a beige coloured rubber strap and is priced at Rs. 17,599. The WI503Q-1RGRY0007 comes with a Gunmetal case with a brownish grey rubber strap, priced at Rs. 17,599. This model will be available post-January 2017 while the rose gold ZenWatch 3 model didn’t make to India.
The Asus ZenWatch 3 runs Android Wear, comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 400*400 px resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, coupled with 512MB of RAM. It bears 4GB of inbuilt storage. The display on the watch is protected from scratches and damages by a slightly curved 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It has a digital crown, a customisable button, and a button to launch ZenFit activity tracking app. ZenWatch 3 is compatible with both Android and iOS.

ZenWatch 3 comes with a 341mAh battery that provides 2 days backup and also comes with a fast charging technology called HyperCharge that charges the battery to 60 percent in 15 minutes. An optional battery pack is also available, providing 40 percent more battery life.

The ZenWatch 3 is IP67 certified hence you do not have to worry about sweat and inclement weather. Asus claims that the new ZenFit app counts wearers’ steps with 95 percent accuracy, and it also has inactivity alerts. ZenFit can track a range of activities — i.e., walking, running, push-ups, sit-ups.
