Apple has launched the latest iteration of their budget-friendly smartphone in the form of the Apple iPhone SE 2022. Major improvements over its predecessor include the availability of the 5G network and in-house A15 Bionic silicon.
Apple iPhone SE 2022 features
The new SE is powered by the Apple A15 Bionic chipset. The processor, first seen on Apple iPhone 13, features a six-core CPU. The company claims this makes the smartphone up to 1.8 times faster than the Apple iPhone 8.
The primary camera is a 12 MP wide-angle shooter with an aperture size of f/1.8. Deep Fusion, Photographic Styles, and Smart HDR 4 is on board.
The iPhone SE 2022 supports 5G wireless technology. Smart Data mode can be used to switch the device to LTE to preserve the battery while using slower download and upload speeds. Fast charging and Qi-certified wireless charging is also supported.
The device runs on iOS 15. The body is made from aerospace-grade aluminium, while the front and rear are covered in glass. The display measures 4.7-inch diagonally. The smartphone is IP67 rated, thereby making it dust and water-resistant.
The iPhone SE 2022 comes in black, red, and white colour variants. Models with 64/128/256 GB device storage are available.
