Vivo has just added two new smartphones in India priced V3 and V3 Max to its budget friendly “V” devices. These devices are priced at Rs. 17,980 and Rs. 23,980 respectively and come along with some premium features along with a super responsive fingerprint scanner.


Vivo v3V3 is the smaller device among the two and features a 5-inch, 720p display and powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC besides a 3GB RAM. It has 32GB of expandable storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card and a 2,550 mAh battery.

V3 Max, on the other hand, has a larger 5.5inch full HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. V3 Max comes with a 3,000 mAh battery along with double charging chip that supports fast charging.

Both the devices run on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Both of these devices sport a very fast fingerprint sensor with a 0.2 second response time. On the camera front, both V3 and V3 Max, come with a 13-megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Both devices support Dual SIM and come with AK4375 audio chip for an enhanced audio experience. 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS covers regular connectivity options.

Apart from the fast fingerprint unlocking, the company is also touting a newly-incorporated split-screen feature that allows users to multitask – for example, watching a movie while chatting with a friend.
