Sony India today unveiled the all-new “X” series smartphones with the launch of – Xperia X and Xperia XA. These advanced smartphones are designed to further elevate the smartphone experience for its consumers. These devices were first seen at the MWC in Barcelona.
The Xperia X has been priced at Rs. 48,990, and will be available from June 7; while the Xperia XA has been priced at Rs. 20,990, and will be available from the third week of June. Both of these phones are open to pre-booking on Amazon.in and authorised Sony retailers across the country.
Xperia X features the 64 Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. It comes with a 23MP rear camera and 13MP front camera. Sony Xperia X’s 23MP primary camera is the same as the one found on Sony Xperia Z5 or Z5 Premium. A 2620mAh battery with Sony’s battery saving technology powers the device. It comes with a 5-inch full HD display
It also has a fingerprint sensor which, like Sony’s previous devices is located under the power button. Sony Xperia X will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
Xperia XA on the other hand, has 5-inch a 720p HD display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 processor and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage option. Unlike Xperia X this device will not have a fingerprint sensor and comes with a 2300mAh battery. For photography enthusiasts, this device has 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Although these devices do look good on paper, however, Sony could’ve priced them a bit more aggressively as there are competitors are providing devices with a better configuration at a very attractive price range. Do let us know your thoughts about these two devices in the comments section below.
