Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in India today. The phone was globally launched a few days back in August 2017 in New York.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with a bezel less 6.3-inch Quad HD+  Infinity Display like the one in the Samsung Galaxy S8 series. The Galaxy Note 8 is the first flagship smartphone from Samsung to sport a dual camera setup. It comes with two 12-megapixel rear camera wide-angle lens and f/1.7 aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture and telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom. Both the rear cameras have OIS, another first.

The Galaxy Note 8 is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6 GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB internal storage and supports up to 256GB via a microSD card. A 3300 mAH battery powers the phone and it runs on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

The phones with an Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor and is IP68 certified that means the Galaxy Note 8 can survive is water resistant up to 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes. It comes with an improved S-Pen stylus that has a finer tip, improved pressure sensitivity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is priced at $9219 in the US and the phone has been priced at Rs. 67,990 in India. The company has also introduced various launch offers on Galaxy Note 8. For the customers who want to buy Galaxy Note 8 in India will get cash back of Rs. 4,000 with HDFC credit card, one-time screen replacement and a free Convertible Wireless Charger in case you pre-book.

Galaxy Note 8 users will get a Double Data offer on Jio, under which they can get up to 448 GB  of extra 4G data over 8 months, as well as complimentary Jio Prime Membership. Samsung also announced an all new ‘Samsung Upgrade’ program offering users the best value when they trade in their old device for the Galaxy Note8. The program offers a convenient solution through My Galaxy app—a Samsung Make for India feature and is powered by Cashify.

The phone will be available online in Amazon and Samsung stores apart from the regular brick and mortar stores in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colours. The prebooking of Galaxy Note 8 starts from September 12, 2017.
