So after a series of leaks and speculations, OnePlus has finally confirmed the launch date of its much awaited flagship smartphones OnePlus 5. It will be unveiled globally on 20th June 2017 while the India launch date has been set as 22th June 2017.


Like OnePlus has launched its previous flagship devices, the OnePlus 5 launch event will be streamed online through OnePlus’s website at 12pm EDT – 9:30pm IST – June 20th.

The recent leak shows a black variant of OnePlus 5 with  dual rear camera setup like the one on iPhone 7+. While the previous leaks showed a vertical dual camera setup on the back. While we will have to wait and see which rumour turns out to be true.


OnePlus is also planning to host a series of pop-up events on 20th June with special guests i.e founder Carl Pei and Marques Brownlee (aka MKBHD). More pop-up events will be held in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Copenhagen on 21st June. The company will be hosting a separate launch event in India on 22nd June at 2PM in Mumbai.

Like the previous devices, consumers can buy OnePlus 5 from Amazon in India. Infact Amazon has listed out the key specifications already which confirm that the phone will be coming with a 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM.OnePlus 5 Amazon

In terms of OnePlus 5’s Specifications, we already know that the phone will be running on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a front mounted finger print sensor and a dual camera module developed in collaboration with DxO.

It is speculated that the OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display and will come with 64GB/128GB built-in storage, 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
