HMD Global under that brand name of Nokia launched Nokia 6, 5,3 and a Nokia 3310 feature phone sometime back and has been expanding its base steadily across the globe. In India, the company announced the launch of the 3 smartphones in June and the Nokia 6 will go for sale the first time on August 23. HMD Global is said to be planning to launch 4 more smartphones within this year.
The new phones that are slated to launch are the Nokia 2, Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9. These upcoming smartphones will be ranging from entry-level to flagship ones. Sometime back we shared a news that Nokia is slated to launch 6-7 devices in 2017 and a high-end smartphone that will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB RAM.
The latest leak has confirmed that the Nokia 2 will be an entry level device which may come in two variants, one with a MediaTek processor and the other one with a Snapdragon 212 processor.
The Nokia 7 will be a mid-budget segment smartphone housing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and will feature a single lens setup at the back.
The Nokia 8, on the other hand, will have slightly more horsepower and will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and will feature a dual camera setup on the back. It is also speculated that the Nokia 8 will come with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and a 2K display. The same was also spotted on benchmark app.
The Nokia 9 is supposedly a flagship smartphone and as previously shared, will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 5.3-inches QuadHD display, 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup and at least 6GB RAM.
While the leaks do talk about specifications, there is no further info on the launch date or pricing of these upcoming Nokia phones. Hence the configuration may slightly change by the time these phones reach the market.
