A few days back there was an official confirmation that Xiaomi is working on Mi Mix 2. What we knew till now is that the second generation bezel-less smartphone will have similar or high screen to body ratio than the firt Mi Mix.
Now an official documents that has been leaked by ithome.com, mentions the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 design as innovative and recognises the innovative Mi Mix 2 design. This official document also identifies Xiaomi as a leader of innovative full-display mobile phone technology and states that Xiaomi will launch devices with larger screen and high screen to body ratio in near future. The document also talks about the onscreen virtual navigation keys.
Mi Mix came in October 2016 with a near bezel-less 6.4-inch display, SnapDragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, 16 mp rear camera with PDAF support, 4400mAh battery with QC3.0 fast charge. It was priced at $52o and used piezoelectric speaker that uses the metal frame to generate sound.
The Mi Mix 2 is said to come with 93% screen to body ratio. It will feature virtual navigation keys and a Cantilever piezoelectric ceramic technology as the Mi Mix did. The phone may come with flagship specifications and may easily have a couple of variants with 6GB and another one with 8GB RAM. It is also said that the Mi Mix 2 will come with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or a yet to be launched processor from Qualcomm (most likely Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SOC).
Acouple of renders of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 have made its way to the internet which shows a display quite similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 and seems slightly smaller than the 6.4-inch Mi Mix. The leaks do mention that this is not the galaxy S8 but a mysterious new Xiaomi Device. Hence cant confirm if this is how the Mi Mix 2 will look like as it is slated to be launched later this year.
Till the time we get more confirmed shots of the Mi Mix 2, lets enjoy this bezel less beauty and hope to get a hands on this smartphone very soon.
