Meizu seems to be in an overdrive. After launching 2 devices earlier in the month, it has today released the third device of the month, a budget friendly sub $100 Meizu M3. This is a successor to last year’s Meizu M2.
Meizu M3 carries the same design as M2 but comes with the new MT6750 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz and has a 2.5D curved glass up front. Meizu M3 is 8.3mm thick and weighs only 132 grams and comes in five different color options, white, blue, gray along with gold and pink colors.

In terms of memory, there are 2 versions available, 2GB and 3GB RAM with 16GB and 32GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD (hybrid slot). It comes with a 5” screen with 720px resolution. In terms of screen protection, M3 comes with SCHOTT Xensation Cover Glass rather than Gorilla Glass.
M3 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with FotoNation 2.0 Beauty software ideal for selfies. It comes with a normal connectivity bundle that includes 802.11 a/b /g/ n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS. A 2870mAh battery powers the device which ideally should last for a day for normal to moderate usage. The phone will run on the new Flyme 5.1 OS powered by YunOS.
The device is very aggressively priced with the 2GB RAM + 16GB model costs 599 Yuan ($93) and the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM will be available for 799 Yuan ($123).
