LG’s latest flagship device that was launched in MWC 2016 will be launched in India in next quarter. Going by the updates from LG, G5 can be launched in India by April and this would make it one of the quickest flagship devices to be launched in India. LG G5 has been one of its kind and infact its first modular flagship device.
LG has already surprised its fans as the device has a innovative and unique design. The innovative battery and modular design adds up to the wow factor while increasing the functionality. LG has termed the add-on as “LG friends”. Currently the addons available are LG Cam Plus and the The Hi-Fi Plus.
Cam plus addon not only increases functionality of the built in camera but comes in with a built in 1200 mAh battery which also adds up more juice to the device making the total onboard battery capacity to impressive 4000 mAh. The Hi-Fi Plus addon has been co-developed by Bang & Olufsen, it enable 32-bit audio playback.
There are a few other companion devices which LG may launch in India along with the LG G5 including LG 360 VR, LG 360 CAM, LG Rolling Bot, LG Tone Platinum, H3 by B&O Play, LG Smart Controller, and LG Friends Manager.
Talking about the phone itself, LG G5 comes sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD “always-on display” and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It also has 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage, thankfully its an expandable storage. Another unique part of device is its dual-camera setup.
There is a dual-camera setup (16MP camera paired with 8MP wide-angle camera) which is another unique part of device. LG G5 comes sports a 5.3-inch QHD display (1440×2560 pixels) and it comes with a 4G LTE, USB Type-C port compatible with USB 3.0 standard, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. LG G5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the handset comes in Silver, Gold, Pink, and Titan colour options
