Huawei’s Honor brand has launched the Honor 8 smartphone in India, priced at Rs. The smartphone can be bought from HiHonor.com and Amazon, Flipkart. Like Huawei P9 Honor 8 comes with dual camera on the back.
The Honor 8 was launched in China around 3 months back starting $300 and has been hugely successful. The company has focused a lot on the design and it has paid rich dividends. The phone has been selling like hot cakes in the markets it’s been launched.
HONOR 8 SPECIFICATIONS
The phone comes wit a 5.2-inch full-HD display and is powered by an in-house Kirin 950 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz. The Honor 8 comes with 2.5D double glass body, although we’ve seen that in Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Asus Zenfone 3, but it does look premium especially in the budget segment. On to the camera part, the highlight of the device, we have a dual camera setup at the back. These are two 12MP sensors at the back, one RGB sensor, and a black and white sensor. The dual camera setup helps you get a great depth of field.
On the front Honor 8 has an 8MP sensor, which has large 1.4um pixels. Overall with the hardware that the smartphone comes with, we can expect that the Honor 8 will produce quality images. Something we will have to wait till we get our hands on the device.
On the connectivity part, Honor has NFC , IR blaster, single nano sim, 4G+, VoLTE, intelligent dual antenna design, WLAN+ 3.0 etc. The phone runs on EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
