The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is set to debut in Europe next month. The Phone was first launched in CES 2017 in January this year. The European version will be called as Asus Zenfone Zoom S and will have slightly better hardware specifications compare to the original one that is available in the US.
The camera centric smartphone that features dual rear cameras and the setup makes it look like an iPhone 7 Plus. Zenfone 3 Zoom got a total makeover compared to the original Zenfone Zoom.
There were a few rumours earlier that the Asus Zenfone Zoom S may carry a smaller display as compared to the Zenfone 3 Zoom, however, recent reports have confrmed that it is indeed the same device that is making its way in Europe. The Zenfone Zoom S is already available in other markets like Indonesia with the same model number ZE553KL while it will launch with the same branding i.e. the Zenfone 3 Zoom in other Asian countries.
One the technical specs part of Zenfone Zoom S, it wll come with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 625 processor and a large 5000mAh battery to keep it running the entire day. One the storage front the Zenfone Zoom S will be launched with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, unlike the 3GB/2GB variant that is available in the US.
One the imaging front, Zenfone Zoom S will have two 12-megapixel sensors, a 25mm with a f/1.7 aperture and the other one with a 59mm and f/2.8 aperture. It offers up to 2.3x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. A 13-megapixel selfie camera is present on the front.
The phone will most likely run on Android 7.0 Nougat since Asus is slowly rolling out Nougat updates on its premium devices. On the pricing part of Zenfone Zoom S, it will be priced higher than the US variand and will be avaialable for €469.
